Madeleine and James moved to France in 2013. One of their biggest dreams was to create a beautiful flower garden and vegetable garden where they could enjoy the long hot summers and fresh homegrown produce. After finding a beautiful property in rural Charente, they spent countless hot summer days (and some cold winter ones too) transforming their blank canvas garden into a beautiful French-inspired cottage garden.

They discovered what works well with the climate and soil throughout this transformation. The experience inspired them to start their garden business, Gourcilloux, to not only help others through their own experiences but also to share their love of gardening and everything it involves.
